" A sunny walk Under Mellbreak " at EveryTrail

After time in the garden it was time to walk the dog but I hadn't planned to take photos this evening,

but as the weather today was so good it seemed churlish not to.

I dug deep into the pocket and found my phone and took a few shots as Harry and I went round "Under Mellbreak".

The view up our valley towards Haystacks and Great Gable.

The view back to the Kirkstile, getting ready for their weekend Beer Festival.

I stopped to replace a few fallen stones and Harry thought it was time for a rest.

" Was I that long ? "

The northern end of Mellbreak and the best way up the fell by a long shot.

Beautiful sunshine on the twins of Whiteside and Grasmoor.

The other twins, Darling Fell and Low Fell

I climbed the steep firebreak as if to go to Mellbreak, then took a left along the trackway above the woods.

If you're going to climb it, try and avoid the brown scree run . . . it is the hard way up anyway.

Down through Flass Woods and onto the bottom road.

We turn onto the path for home, Muncaster House shining brightly across the field.

A short walk but sunny pictures I hope you have enjoyed as much as I did taking them.
