It was a brilliant day and the recent snow was looking delightful.

Unfortunately I was at work today, but with a fast turn around I was able to get out at lunchtime and drive to the road end at Latrigg.

Keswick main square and the Moot Hall.

A walk along the new gravel path from Gale Road brought me to this fine view of Keswick and the North Western Fells.

The wheelchair access path drops slightly to meet up with the Spooney Green path before continuing on to the summit.

Sunshine and snow on the high fells opposite.

A brief lunch break meant that I had to return before reaching the end of the path.

Turning, this was the view as I started my return. The highest top is in fact Skiddaw Little Man summit.

Blencathra - plus a fresh supply of feed for the sheep on this fell.

All too soon I was back in town for the afternoon shift

- a change is as good as a rest they say !
