The fell side gate above High Nook Farm

looking back at Loweswater and the Lorton Valley.

Bethan's second "Wainwright" was to be Gavel Fell.

A brief stop for coffee sheltered from the brisk northerly by the summit cairn.

In the far distance a view of the Isle of Man plus its slight cloud cover.

Bethan is now fifteen weeks and so is eager to walk.

However a little rest on the down hill sections meant that she had sufficient energy to climb to the next summit.

Above High Nook Tarn on the way down from Blake Fell.

Four miles on and time for a second carry.

Fighting to keep awake.

Why bother when you don't have to !
